For me, cooking is an expression of love — a way to share the joy of family, tradition, and the simplicity of good food. Each piece here is inspired by the spirit of Calabria, blending vibrant prints with timeless recipes passed down through generations.
A very heartfelt gift for anyone
CQ Pasta exists to share mutual traditions and memories with so many. In the cookbook I share Calabrese recipes that many have lost over generations, recipes that have left a mark in our families- from our mums, Nonni's and beyond. My passion is to help people regain the recipes they have been lost along the way and to welcome them back into their homes.
Everything I know about Italian food, cooking, and traditions is all from Nonna Connie.
She immigrated to Australia in 1967 and brought her Calabrese traditions with her, bringing a ‘little Italy’ to her home here in Australia.
CQ Pasta is dedicated to all the Italians who had the courage to pick up and leave Italy for a better life, taking their traditions to countries that welcomed them while leaving their hearts behind in Italy. Even though we are all oceans apart, our food is what continues to unite us all, connecting us.
